Vocational Development in Timor Leste

This programme is delivered over 2 years to a number of full-time employees of PDL Toll’s Timor Leste based defence logistics unit. ICAE designed the course to overcome the challenges involved with offshore delivery in a developing country and to fit in with PDL Toll’s needs, given that they feed 1,200 Australia defence personnel each day.

The programme is neatly integrated with PDL Toll’s day-to-day operation and managed by ICAE’s Timor based staff with regular visits from ICAE’s Australian based management. Since commencement in 2009, ICAE has delivered the first trade level qualifications to be awarded in Dili since independence (1999), awarding six Certificates III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) to local Timor Leste
