In this course you will develop hospitality service, sales and operational skills, and sound knowledge of industry operations.

Duration: 26 weeks

Semester 1: On-campus Tuition Semester
10 Weeks
On-campus classes: 20 hours per week
Paid work rights: up to 40 hours per fortnight (14 days)

Semester 2: Industry Placement Semester
10 Weeks
No on-campus classes during Industry Placement
Paid work rights: up to 45 hours per week

As a graduate you can expect to be employed in roles that will see you using discretion and judgement, working with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide your work activities.

How you study

In this 26 week course you will undertake 10 weeks of the most up-to-date theory and practical training on campus, followed by 10 weeks of Industry Placement (paid or unpaid).

Course structure

Students in this course complete 15 units of competency (seven core units plus eight elective units).
