2019 Awards

ICAE won the Small Business award at the 2019 NT Export & Industry Awards and is a finalist to the Australian Export Awards.

2018 Awards

ICAE won the “2018 Chief Minister’s NT Export and Industry Awards – StudyNT Education and Training Award Category” on 27th September.

Bryan Chapman, Deputy Chief Executive, received the award on behalf of ICAE. “We are very honoured to receive this award,” Bryan said during his acceptance speech, “We are constantly improving ourselves to provide the best quality education for the international students.”

“We have now been multiple winners of the Chief Minister’s NT Export and Industry Awards in various categories: Education and Training, Small Business, Asia Exporter, International Business, etc. and we are nominated as a finalist in the National Awards to be held later in the year.”

In addition to this, one of our international students Ahad Hussain Mishu (known as Sunday) received a Commendation in the StudyNT International Student of the Year Award. This is excellent recognition for him as he builds his career, and gains his qualifications with ICAE.”

2017 Awards

ICAE won the Small Business Award at the NT Chief Minister’s Export and Industry Awards in Darwin on 21st September.

This award recognises the outstanding work that ICAE performs in providing education to International students in Darwin.

ICAE CEO Mr Sean Mahoney was in attendance to accept this award.

Mr Mahoney said “all of our team at ICAE have contributed to us winning this Award including our teaching faculty, our administrative staff and, of course, our management team. We are also very pleased to receive recognition for the partnerships we have with hotels, cafes, restaurants to place students into paid work whilst they gain their qualifications. ICAE students have a good reputation with local employers and enhance their careers by choosing to study with us”.

2015 Awards

For the fourth year running ICAE has been recognised for its excellence in the international education industry, winning the NT Asia Exporter Award for outstanding export achievement into Asia. Promoting the importance of international trade and industry, the awards recognise the outstanding achievements and success stories of Northern Territory exporters and industry leaders.

ICAE Chief Executive Sean Mahoney accepted the award, saying “ICAE has achieved success in the Asian market because we consistently deliver exactly what we promise our students – a high-quality vocational education in the hospitality industry. Our programs not only provide students with the theoretical knowledge they need but also offers extensive, paid practical experience in the industry. Our students and graduates are keenly sought after by employers throughout the NT, with many staying on after graduation as sponsored and highly valued operational and managerial staff”.

ICAE student Minsu Kang wins NT Student Award

ICAE Diploma of Hospitality student Minsu Kang, from Korea, has been recognised at the 2015 Chief Minister’s NT Export & Industry Awards, winning the International Business Student of the Year Award, 2015.

Minsu’s award is recognition of his outstanding achievement as a student studying International Business subjects in the Northern Territory. It also is recognition of his exemplary academic record, and his achievements as part of his studies in ICAE’s unique Industry Placement in the hospitality industry.

Minsu is currently undertaking his Industry Placement as a Manager at a high profile hospitality venue where his contribution to the business is very highly regarded.

​Minsu joins an exclusive club of ICAE graduates who have previously won this prestigious Northern Territory award.
