International Programme
ICAE's international student programme is a hospitality course based around the hotel industry. With Darwin's high employment rate and the generous work entitlements offered to ICAE's international students, there is no better place in Australia to Study and Work.
The Course
The course for international students at the International College of Advanced Education is a two year, nationally accredited, Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management course, based around the hotel industry. The course is structured so students will complete 2 academic semesters and 2 industry placement semesters, giving them a chance to work in the industry and earn money for throughout the course.
- A complete education; students learn the fundamentals of the industry, all the way through to the management of international resorts and casinos.
- A chance to complete a structured industry placement programme.
Earn While You Learn
ICAE's international students can work from day one of the programme! Students are permitted to undertake 20 hours of work per week during their theory based semesters and during industry placement and holidays, students can work full time. ICAE also provides students with employment assistance including resume writing and job interview preparation.
- Earn between A$14 and A$25 per hour in the hospitality industry.
- Make enough money to cover student living expenses.
Industry Placement
Industry placement is an integral part of the ICAE's hopitalit programme and students can complete their placement at any hospitality enterprise that has been approved by ICAE.
- Direct industry placement assistance, advice and support from ICAE.
- Practical application of skills in the workplace.
